The Old Ladys of the Snack Shack
~ Hermon Mountain is home to some of the meanest older ladys you will ever come in contact with. I think if one of them ever cracked a smile their whole face would crumble into a million pieces. And god for bid if you ever order french fries and arn't right there to pick them up they will holler FRENCH FRIES so loud and evil sounding, that the hole lodge will clear out in under 13 seconds. But you gotta love them (and who couldn't love their pizza) :>)

The Men in Brown
As you know at many major ski areas when you get a job there they supply you with a jacket that says the ski aares name on it. But at Hermon Mountain they give you a carhartt suit.Yes, I did say Carhart suit . No fancy fleece vests, just good ol' brown heavy duty denim.

Their on Patrol
A word of advice before you go to Hermon Mountain, don't mess with the ski patroll! I think they might be the husbands of the mean older ladys I previously talked about. In fact once I was just skiing and minding my own business and I "accidentally" knocked over a pole marking a rock or a bare spot and One of the the evil ski patroll hollerd Quote " Hey you with the hair, those are put there for a reason" Unquote I was devastated.
USIW (Unidentifyed Stuff In Woods)
Hermon Mountain isn't the kind of place where you just ski down and get back on the lift,BORING. There is much much more to skiing at Hermon then that. Its almost like a scavenger hunt. Actually I can Think of three things right off the top of my head that make it exciting.1.) The Skidder in the woods, I assume this has been there there since they cut trails or from the logging days on the mountain. But either way its been there a while, since the trees around it are over 30 feet high and its rustier then Eaton Mountains chairlift(trust me thats rusty).2.)The truck parked to the skiers left of the tubing park. It looks like its in fairly decent shape, but its been there as long as I can remmeberWhy is it there? Who's is it? Well, Nobody knows.3.) And last but certainly not least the old wooden shack at the top right after you get off the lift. Nobody really knows what they store init or why its there. But I do know a guy who ran into it a nd got his skis stuck under it.
